A Weekend of Recognition and Training

Rarely have I had the chance to be a part of a company that is more like family than co-workers. Although, Network Marketing does lend itself to a different dynamic than just corporate employees. Although we, as Independent Associates, get to see each other as little as once or twice a year, when we do see each other, it’s like a giant family reunion. During one extraordinary moment, Ryan Higgins, a 7-Star Director, called out a fellow Associate whose mother had just passed away the day before. In spite of all that, this Associate and his family managed to still drive to the event and participate with their team as a leader and example of what sacrifice and dedication truly means. This well-loved Associate was treated to a standing ovation, and there was not a dry eye in the room.

This particular weekend of training and enlightenment was in New Orleans. Over the course of two days, we were treated to words of wisdom from the likes of Ray Higdon, Rob Sperry, Todd Falcone, Diane Hochman, Lisa Grossman, Cedric Harris, Curtis Broome and more! It was like the Who’s Who of Networking at our Meeting. Additionally, our leaders recognized ALL the ranks in attendance and awarded ALL Associates who were present. It was a pure joy cheering on every single person who walked across the stage to receive their award.

Stand-Out Moments

Cedric Harris kicked off training with his usual wit and memorable laugh. He taught about 10 things vital to exploding our businesses. We will discuss more in depth in a later post.

Ray Higdon drew a series of unforgettably simple stick figures on the projector in conjunction with a brief lesson on both body language and human psychology. He talked about how to diffuse a situation with body language or questions and keep conversations non-confrontational but inquisitive.

Todd Falcone spoke of the importance of building connections and loving people where they are. The opposite would be forcing a plan on them if they weren’t ready to be in that space.
